It’s difficult to imagine a more tumultuous, unpredictable year than 2020.
But before the world was turned upside-down due to COVID and plenty of other crises, fall of 2019 shaped up as one of the most hectic, promising and intriguing seasons ever when it comes to West Michigan’s music scene.
At Local Spins, we were busy covering the first official concerts taking place at the new Listening Room amid Grand Rapids’ Studio Park development (along with the usual flurry of tour stops at other venues).
We also focused attention on the rise of mid-Michigan country singer Sadie Bass, who got a chance to rub elbows and perform with some superstars of the business on a cruise. That story about Bass ended up being the fifth most-read article at Local Spins over the past year.
