LOCAL SPINS WEDNESDAYS SERIES @ SPEAKEZ, PLUS LIVE MUSIC FRIDAYS
There’s nothing quite like the magic of energetic performances in cozy settings, something that distinguishes SpeakEZ Lounge in downtown Grand Rapids and the mid-week series starring Michigan acts that Local Spins began hosting about 10 years ago.
The 2025 winter-spring series is chock full of eclectic acts from across the region — Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids to Ionia County to the Traverse City area — and also features our uber-popular “Tribute Month” with four Michigan bands performing songs by iconic artists: Neil Diamond, Neil Young, Jimmy Buffett, Warren Zevon, Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Browne.
Local Spins has expanded the series to include bi-monthly Friday night shows as well. Scroll down for the full schedule (January-April). We’ll also have some special beer nights, to be announced in the near future.
Co-sponsored by Modelo Especial, Long Drink, SpeakEZ Lounge and Local Spins, shows in the Wednesday series start at 7:30 p.m., as well as those on Friday nights.
For those attending the shows, a $5 surcharge will be added to their bar/food bill to help pay the bands. SpeakEZ Lounge is located at 600 Monroe Ave. NW in downtown Grand Rapids.
