LOCAL SPINS WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS CONCERTS STARRING MICHIGAN ACTS
There’s nothing quite like the magic of energetic performances in cozy settings, something that distinguishes SpeakEZ Lounge in downtown Grand Rapids and the mid-week series starring Michigan acts that Local Spins began hosting more than 10 years ago.
The fall 2026 edition of the Wednesday and Friday series featuring Michigan acts continues the tradition of diverse live music, from indie-pop Sophia McIntosh & The Sages to Americana favorites Drew Nelson and Grace Theisen, to the return of singer Hannah Rose Graves for a Wednesday-before-Thanksgiving party that was a tradition for several years at SpeakEZ Lounge. December’s “Tribute Month” features The Insane Theatre tribute to The Doors and Crazy Hearse tribute to Neil Young, with emerging young bluegrass stars The Mitten Pickers in between.
Co-sponsored by Modelo Especial, Long Drink, SpeakEZ Lounge and Local Spins, shows in the Wednesday series start at 7:30 p.m., as well as those on Friday nights.
For those attending the shows, a $6 surcharge will be added to their bar/food bill to help pay the bands. SpeakEZ Lounge is located at 600 Monroe Ave. NW in downtown Grand Rapids.
