Touring behind their third album, “III,” folk-rock’s The Lumineers return to Grand Rapids’ Van Andel Arena armed with new intense songs that tackle the thorny topic of addiction in a captivating way. The frontman for Soul Coughing, Mike Doughty, and collaborator Andrew “Scrap” Livingston, have mounted an intriguing tour that has them interacting with the crowd and responding to online submissions unique to each concert. The tour is dubbed “Mike Doughty Tells Your Future.” (By the way, Doughty is as prolific as it gets, writing weekly songs for Patreon subscribers and performing with “improvised-music bands” in Memphis.)

Talk about a surprising and impressive meteoric rise: Pop and hip hop artist Post Malone has taken over the streaming airwaves so to speak. The award-winning singer’s latest album, “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” was the top streamed album of 2019, and his 2018 release, “Beerbongs & Bentleys,” was the fifth-most streamed album of the year.

As a trio in Sweet Water Warblers – which first played Hoxeyville Music Festival in 2014 – their combined voices and musicianship are dazzling.

He’s won several awards, including 2019’s “Male Vocalist of the Year” at the Country Music Association Awards.
