This week, Rockford and Wyoming fire up their respective Tuesday night summer concert series with a bluesy bent: Hannah Rose & The GravesTones serenading fans for Rockford’s Rogue River Blues Series in Garden Park near the dam and Big Boss Blues playing the second week of Concerts in the Park at Lamar Park.
But that’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, because cities from Grand Haven to Kalamazoo to Sparta host free weeknight shows throughout the summer that are perfect for picnicking and basking on blankets in the sunshine. A few already have started; most kick into gear next week.
Here’s the roster for several of these popular series.
