On tuneful Tuesdays alone, the concert lineup across West Michigan is impressive.
Tonight, Allendale’s Concerts in the Park hosts Sweet Justice, Caledonia features Opal Agafia, Manistee’s Shoreline Showcase boasts the jazz of Planet D Nonet, Montague’s Riverbank Music Series delivers Magic Bus, Wyoming’s Lamar Park spotlights Brena and Rockford’s Rogue River Blues Series fires up Joe Johnson & The Bluebacks.
Oh, and Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park offers up the jazz manouche of Djangophonique and the Grand Rapids Chorus Sweet Adelines for its Tuesday Evening Music Club.
That’s just one night of music across Michigan, with the latest additions to Local Spins’ “Free Outdoor Community Concerts Guide” for summer 2024 bringing the total number to a mind-boggling 154 free concert series on varying days at locations ranging from Dowagiac to Traverse City — all featuring acts from the Great Lakes State.
