He’s a 10-time Grammy winner whose influence extends far behind his monster international pop hit, “Don’t Worry Be Happy.” Bobby McFerrin, 69, is a jazz vocalist extraordinaire, a guy with a dynamic range who can scat, unleash impressive vocal percussion and more. He’s been part of dozens of albums since the early 1980s, from his own work to collaborations with other stars.
This concert is part of the Michigan Music Conference taking place at DeVos Place this week, with hundreds of music educators in town. They got first crack at tickets; remaining tickets are available online here.
