Multi-award-winning Las Vegas post-hardcore/pop-punk outfit Falling in Reverse is in the midst of its “The Drug in Me is Gold Tour,” acknowledging the fact that the Recording Industry Association of America recently certified the band’s 2011 debut album as gold in terms of sales. Earlier this month, the band also released the single, “The Drug in Me is Reimagined,” a piano-based rendition of “The Drug in Me is You.”

She’s an iconic American singer who happens to be the daughter of a legendary country singer. Rosanne Cash, daughter of the late Johnny Cash, makes her first-ever appearance at St. Cecilia Music Center in Grand Rapids this week and it’s no surprise that the concert sold out fairly quickly.
Cash’s most recent album, “She Remembers Everything,” produced a song nominated for a Grammy this past year, and this is the only Michigan stop on her current U.S. tour. The show is part of the Acoustic Cafe Folk Series, hosted by Rob Reinhart.

What would Tribute Month for Local Spins Wednesdays at SpeakEZ Lounge be without paying homage to The Beatles? Yes, That Beatles Thing is back, rolling out some of The Fab Four’s biggest hits and plenty of deeper album tracks, too. The Grand Rapids band has become the region’s go-to Beatles tribute outfit, packing venues whenever and wherever it plays.
Local Spins Wednesdays are presented by Local Spins, SpeakEZ Lounge, North Coast Guitar Company and WYCE, with Michigan beer specials on tap and free parking in the city lot kitty-corner from SpeakEZ on Monroe Avenue to the south, or in the Sixth Street Park lot to the north. Born in Cameroon and raised in Bamenda, Myra Maimoh was heavily influenced by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, Louis Armstrong, Miriam Makeba, Manu Dibango and others. She released her debut album, “Answer’d Me,” in 2010, with tracks soaring to the top of the New Christian Music Gospel Euro Charts.

Reggae’s The Wailers continues to tour their classic Jamaican-bred music, with one of the original members, bassist Aston “Family Man” Barrett at the helm and one-time Grand Rapids-area resident Donald Kinsey on guitar. Originally formed by the legendary Bob Marley, the band delivers a host of classics during its shows, including “Rastaman Vibration,” “Is This Love,” “Exodus,” “Get Up, Stand Up” and “Redemption Song.”
