The buzz for the worldwide tour has been unprecedented — with unprecedented prices for scalped tickets.
But the first night of pop star Taylor Swift’s much anticipated weekend extravaganza at Detroit’s Ford Field also inspired unprecedented excitement for devoted fans, not to mention “The Eras Tour” debut of two songs, “Haunted” and “I Almost Do,” near the end of the three-hours-plus spectacle.
Swift kicked off the evening by letting fans know her performance would cover 17 years of her music, while lighting up Ford Field in more than one way: Attendees were given light-up wristbands upon entering the stadium, which meant that from the upper sections to the floor level, every fan became part of the impressive light show.
The captivated audience, decked out in their favorite “The Eras Tour” attire, sang and screamed along as Swift played hits and a variety of songs from her latest releases.
