The 2024 concert calendar is chock full of outdoor concerts at diverse venues across Michigan, starring national touring powerhouses as well as regional bands. Local Spins has the schedules.

Summer – quite literally – brings out the stars of music, especially in Michigan.

Outdoor concert series pepper the state, from Southwest Michigan to the Detroit area to Traverse City and beyond, delivering tour stops by internationally acclaimed artists (Janet Jackson to Megadeth to Lettuce to Bush) as well as regional favorites (The Verve Pipe, The Insiders Tom Petty Tribute, Kait Rose’s Fleetwood Mac Tribute).

And the venues themselves are every bit as diverse as the genres unleashed by the performers.

Amphitheaters, beer gardens, vineyards, farms, beaches, churches, campgrounds, casino parking lots, spacious patios and more host these summer concerts, with several new venues emerging over the past year.

Southwest Michigan alone boasts the likes of Liquid Note’s new outdoor stage in Otsego and Warner Vineyards’ summer series in Paw Paw featuring a bevy of tribute bands (as well as Dawes), along with Bell’s Brewery Eccentric Café’s revamped beer garden stage in Kalamazoo.

Of course, iconic venues such as Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids Township and Interlochen Center for the Arts’ Kresge Auditorium in Interlochen continue to host a robust roster of popular touring acts.
