It started amid glorious sunshine and ended under a full moon.
And in between, a few thousand revelers basked in an eclectic blend of live regional music, beer, cornhole and more.
Sunny, breezy weather greeted attendees Saturday at Perrin Brewing’s Backyard Bash, which celebrated the seventh anniversary of the brewery with performances by five regional bands amid one of West Michigan’s final outdoor events of the summer season.
The Hacky Turtles, Jake Kershaw, Hollywood Makeout, Paradise Outlaw and Kosmic Mama & the Holding Co. took the stage – all of them impressing fans in their own distinctive way, from classic rock to Southern rock/country to garage rock to blues-rock to funky, reggae-splashed fun.
Of course, the meteorological conditions were also ideal for live music, outdoor games, various vendors and Perrin’s annual cornhole tournament outside the Comstock Park brewery.
Members from participating bands unanimously gushed about the sound quality, the audience, the weather and the atmosphere, which appealed to a wide range of ages. Check out the photo gallery and some video highlights here.
