It’s an unmistakable sign that the first week in December has arrived: the annual buzz surrounding the Electric Forest lineup reveal, when fans begin the six-month countdown to their pilgrimage to Rothbury.
For 2026, Michigan’s largest music festival will once again take over Double JJ Resort north of Muskegon from June 25-28, with promoters this week releasing an initial Phase 1 lineup that doesn’t really need a Phase 2 to supplement their roster of stars.
Anchoring the 2026 lineup are major electronic heavyweights, including Chris Lake, Eli Brown, GRiZ, Illenium and Kaskade.
Fan favorites Disco Lines, Odd Mob, Purple Disco Machine, Sidepiece, Shpongle and Westend further stack an already massive year for electronic music fans.
Traverse City’s Ranger Trucco will return in 2026 after a massive 2025 festival season, where Local Spins witnessed him rocking capacity crowds at both ARC (Chicago) and EDC (Orlando), and Southfield native GRiZ will light up the 2026 festival in more ways than one (with Electric Forest touting a “Chasing the Golden Hour” set).
For fans of Fred Again and Barry Can’t Swim, Sammy Virji is currently on a bit of a moonshot path to Rothbury.
For me, personally, while I was hoping to see Rüfüs Du Sol on the line-up, but Bob Moses (club set) is what I’m looking forward to the most.
For those seeking a bit of genre diversity, how about Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Dogs in a Pile, Eggy, DJ Diesel (aka Shaq) and T-Pain, rocktronic’s Sullivan King and, in a longstanding tradition, Michigan’s own Dixon’s Violin, who always kicks off and closes the festival with his unique electronic looping soundscapes?
Passes for Electric Forest 2026 go on sale Friday at noon, and fans can register online now here to prepare for the rush.
