Fourteen years in, Dunesville Music Festival prides itself on “being an experience that people plan to attend annually” with “a wholesome balance of insane musical talent, awe-inspiring gallery artists, workshop topics and fire performers.”
The 2026 festival descends once again upon Harmony Pines Campground near Interlochen in northern Michigan this weekend (July 24-26), a site nestled east of Lake Michigan some 25 miles southwest of Traverse City.
As festival co-director Brenna Harm puts it of the musical offerings: “It’s hard not to list the entire lineup (as highlights). It’s all going to be top-notch and unique from other lineups.”
The roster Michigan heavy-hitters, across multiple genres and stages, this year’s roster includes Myron Elkins, The Go Rounds, The Marsupials, 1000 Watt Prophets, Chirp, Desmond Jones, Da’Veonce & Da Funk Gang, Agnes Su, Hannah Laine, Futuretime Stringband, Izzy Joy, Money Soup, Roosevelt Diggs, JonPaul Wallace, Squatch, Hannah Rose Graves and many others.
“It’s important to us that people leave with something new. Because without that, it’s just a party in a field. We’re intentionally creating this mini-city for three days, so in essence we are community builders. There should be learning opportunities for people to come in and expand their experience,” Harms said.
“Having these different experiences that people can take part in, allows them to become inspired and go back into their own communities where they’re from, and either share with someone something they’ve learned or become inspired to start doing something new.”
Performances over the weekend occur on three stages: Shipwreck Stage, Harmony Stage or Shaker Stage. Adult weekend passes are available for $125.05 and include the option to camp on the grounds by tent. An RV pass is $51.25. Tickets are available online at dunesvillemusicfestival.com/tickets.

“It is truly an honor to be included in a lineup of such incredible Michigan artists. Dunesville is a festival we have admired from afar for several years, and we can’t wait to bring our sound and energy to such a beautiful event,” says Kaj Althaus, guitarist and vocalist in the Detroit funk/blues/rock band TOED, who will make their Dunesville debut.
“We are looking forward to connecting with the Dunesville community and meeting new musicians, artists, festival runners, and festival attendees. The Michigan music landscape owes a lot to events such as Dunesville, and we hope we can assist in its growth.”
Cast along a 55-acre stretch of land, with stages and structures embedded between the pines, this annual celebration of music draws about 900 attendees from all over the region.
There’s a wholesome circus aura that extends through the weekend: fire performers, jugglers, flow artists, laughing yoga, drum Kivas. Vendor Alley will be lined with artist makers of various handmade goods. Food vendors as well as a dedicated Dunesvelle kitchen will remain on hand all weekend.
“Outdoor summer shows are a magical experience. Being in nature and enjoying music are deeply spiritual, and there are few things better than when they overlap,” says Althaus.
“Weather is obviously a wild card that could easily make or break an outdoor show that you wouldn’t experience in a regular venue. Rain, extreme heat, and now wildfire smoke are things every musician needs to monitor for the well-being of their gear and physical well-being. So while outdoor shows do add an extra layer of stress when the stars align, they are viscerally emotional events that can create lifelong memories.”
Harm noted that this year’s festival will have later silent disco hours and an expanded workshop schedule, as well activities such as the Sonic Portal, disco golf and laser tag — all adding to the all-ages, family-friendly vibe.
“We provide a lot of value for our ticket prices while trying to stay affordable as costs rise, and have an extremely accessible volunteer program for those who want to attend but can’t buy a ticket,” Harm said.
“We’ve been going for 14 years and believe what our event brings to the Michigan music community is worth fighting for. We hope potential ticket buyers decide to see what the hype is about.”
