Interlochen’s summer of music opens with Michael McDonald in mid-June and wraps up with O.A.R on Sept. 1; tickets go on sale April 24.
After posting record-breaking attendance of more than 130,000 for its concerts last summer, Interlochen Center for the Arts will host another slate of acclaimed performers in 2015, including Boz Scaggs & Tower of Power, Diana Krall, Harry Connick Jr., Pink Martini and The Doobie Brothers.

“We are tremendously excited as we think we have a great lineup and a nice balance of performances this summer,” Christopher Gruits, executive director of Interlochen Presents, told Local Spins. “Harry Connick’s return, a headline debut by Diana Krall, O.A.R.’s debut with Allen Stone are going to be fantastic shows.”
Most concerts take place in the Kresge Auditorium amphitheater or intimate Corson Auditorium on the campus in Interlochen in Northwest Lower Michigan.
Gruits said Interlochen strives to “strike a good balance and appeal to all ages and audience types” as it works to expand its audience base.
Interlochen’s announcement comes just a day after Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids announced its 30-concert amphitheater series, and there’s some overlap: 10 touring acts are playing both venues this summer, including Krall, Connick, O.A.R., Gill and Pink Martini.
Chris Mautz, who books the Meijer Gardens series, insisted it’s unlikely that duplication of artists affects attendance for either venue because they’re more than 130 miles apart.
Tickets for the Interlochen series go on sale April 24; details below and online at interlochen.org.
