After a 2015 split, the Philadelphia-based alternative rock group Swearin’ reunited in 2017 and since then has been touring and thriving, bringing its current tour to Grand Rapids. Allison Crutchfield formed the group with Kyle Gilbride, and they released a debut album in 2012. They’rehitting stages everywhere for the 2019 tour with Mike Krol, a power pop group out of Los Angeles. Fresh band The Great Lakes State is also on the bill.

Two of the greatest acts of all time when it comes to shock rock, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, terrorize Grand Rapids this week on their “Twins Of Evil: The Second Coming” tour, with special guests Palaye Royale. You can expect that bikers and blues lovers will be out in full force to close this series with a bang, courtesy of blues singer, guitarist and songwriter Albert Castiglia, who first made a name for himself as a member of Junior Wells’ band.

Opening the show will be Grand Rapids’ own blues faves, Asamu Johnson & the Associates of the Blues.

Formed in 1979, legendary rockabilly band The Stray Cats put rockabilly music back on the charts. Now, SiriusXM presents the 40th Anniversary Tour of this iconic act. The band, known for hits like “Stray Cat Strut,” “Bring It Back Again” and “Rock This Town,” which is listed by the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame as a song that shaped rock and roll, will also roll out new material from the first new recording in 26 years. This all-ages show features a great lineup of Grand Rapids bands including longstanding metalcore act Still Remains, The Skies Revolt (playing its first show in two years), the reunion of hardcore band Tall Ships, IKAIK, featuring Isaiah Kallman of Joust and the Vigilantes, and the reunion of Kaline. It’s back and ready to heat up downtown Grand Rapids with all manner of jazz – from smooth jazz to swing to Latin jazz to urban jazz to organ-based jazz.

GRandJazzFest boasts a headlining set on Saturday (8 p.m.) by Guitar G-Force (with Tim Bowman, NILS and Steve Oliver). Things kick off that day with the Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra featuring singer Edye Evans Hyde at 12:30 p.m., followed by Tenth World with Kevin Jones & Kelvin Sholar, Deon Yates, Bryan Lubeck and Paula Atherton.
