The group – Sam Harris, Casey Harris and Adam Levin – hits the Aragon in Chicago and The Fillmore in Detroit following the Grand Rapids show.

Grand Rapids-area singer-songwriter Cameron Blake has earned kudos and attention for his music internationally. His lush, compelling and masterfully arranged new album “Fear Not” has earned praise from the likes of No Depression, Cashbox Magazine and Huffington Post, and he recently signed with a record label in The Netherlands. More than anything, the classically trained musician creates genre-encompassing gems — from gospel-fired, upbeat songs to introspective folk — making this a Local Spins Wednesday show that’s sure to leave a lasting impression on fans.
Grayling’s Oh Brother Big Sister, meanwhile, is an acoustic duo and an eclectic sensation featuring siblings Penny Jean and Radel Rosin. The up-and-coming brother-and-sister act from northern Michigan covers the music spectrum with entrancing harmonies and ingenious musical arrangements.

Exuberant Grand Rapids rockers The Legal Immigrants are calling this their “tour kickoff,” pumping up the stage at The Pyramid Scheme with local faves Conrad Shock + The Noise. Interestingly, both bands are wrapping up work on new studio albums, so expect to hear plenty of new material on Wednesday night. (TLI’s “Headin’ West” tour hits Des Moines on Thursday, and Fort Collins, Colo., on Saturday.)

Country singers Maddie & Tae met back in 2010 (one’s from Texas, the other from Oklahoma) and they didn’t take long to start drawing attention. Their debut studio album, 2015’s “Start Here,” soared to No. 2 on Billboard’s Country chart (on the strength of tracks such as “Girl in a Country Song” and “Fly”) and they’ve already won several awards.
Opening this show co-hosted by radio station B93 will be singer-songwriter River Melcher from Grant, Mich. B93 and The Intersection follow this with another country spectacle on Friday: Russell Dickerson, with local support from Livy Jeanne, will perform in the main showroom, $15 advance, $18 day of show.

It’s billed as the “Fun & Funk Xplosion Tour,” boasting a “groundbreaking, precedent-setting experience that combines world-class musicians” with “one of the funniest comedians in the world.”
Two of the Wootens, of course, were founding members of the incredible Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, and they’ve all gone on to participate in numerous incredible projects and collaborations.
