The high-profile addition to St. Cecilia’s Acoustic Cafe Folk Series will bring the country star and daughter of legend Johnny Cash to Grand Rapids, along with her musician husband, John Leventhal.

St. Cecilia Music Center’s Acoustic Cafe Folk Series just added an iconic name to its 2018-2019 concert roster.
Grammy Award-winning country and Americana singer Rosanne Cash will play St. Cecilia’s Royce Auditorium on Feb. 19 as she continues to tour behind her most recent album, “She Remembers Everything.”
The concert will include guest artist and composer John Leventhal, who’s been married to Cash since 1995.
Cash, the daughter of legendary Johnny Cash, has released 15 albums over the years, earned four Grammy Awards and scored 21 Top 40 country hits, including “Seven Year Ache,” “The Way We Make a Broken Heart” and “I Don’t Know Why You Don’t Want Me.”
“This is great news to have her on the series with her husband,” said Cathy Holbrook, St. Cecilia’s executive director. “I’m excited.”
Cash also is playing some shows this year with Ry Cooder titled, “Cash and Cooder on Cash: The Music of Johnny Cash.”
Cash’s St. Cecilia concert in Grand Rapids will come midway between other previously announced shows in the series which is co-hosted by the Acoustic Cafe syndicated radio show: Lee Ann Womack on Oct. 3, Judy Collins on Oct. 20, Chris Thile on Feb. 25 and Raul Midon on Feb. 27.
