Miranda Lambert may not bring her dogs, but she'll certainly bring her Grammy-winning music to Grand Rapids in August.
Country superstars Miranda Lambert and Toby Keith will play the six-day Rock the Rapids music festival in downtown Grand Rapids in late August.
Lambert, touring behind her latest album, “Four the Record,” will kick off the festival on Monday, Aug. 20 in parking areas behind Van Andel Arena.

The multi-platinum-selling Keith, who released his 16th studio album, “Clancy’s Tavern,” last summer, will play the festival on Aug. 22 (the same night, incidentally, that fellow country singer Darius Rucker appears at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park).
Today’s announcement by festival promoter Blue Cap Entertainment follows previously announced concerts featuring the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival with Shinedown, Godsmack and others on Aug. 21 and the Carnival of Madness Tour starring Evanescence, on Aug. 23.
A limited number of $59 two-day passes good for both the Lambert and Keith shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through showclix.com or by calling 888-718-4253. VIP passes and various upgrades also are available. Get more details at the Rock the Rapids website. Tickets for the previously announced concerts already are on sale.
Announcement of the final two Rock the Rapids concerts is expected in coming weeks.
