Take it from fans who packed GLC Live at 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids on Thursday for Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats: It was a lively concert to long remember.
“Amazing show — full house and rocking all night,” Chris Auger Augdahl wrote on Facebook afterward.
Added concertgoer Mike Metchikoff: “What an amazing concert. Thank you Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats for coming to Grand Rapids.”
Launching the evening with “Suffer Me” from the band’s new EP, “What If I,” Rateliff and crew dotted the set with their biggest hits, including “Survivor,” “You Worry Me,” “I Need Never Get Old” and, of course, “S.O.B.” They wrapped up the evening with an encore featuring “I’ll Be Damned” and “Love Don’t.”
The band followed the show with yet another Michigan tour stop at Meadow Brook Amphitheatre in Rochester Hills before hitting the road to Wisconsin for a sold-out concert in Madison.
Rateliff’s Grand Rapids show marked just a sampling of the past week’s live music assault across West Michigan.
