That 2012 song alone — the Colorado band’s biggest hit, performed third in its set Thursday — had plenty of 20-somethings swooning and singing along, though to be clear, the group officially is touring behind its latest album, 2016’s “Cleopatra.”
Fans in the know also got a chance to cheer celebrated artists Andrew Bird and Margaret Glaspy, who opened the evening: Glaspy with her lo-fi and bluesy, indie-pop attitude, and Bird, with on-point violin, guitar and glockenspiel playing on his boundary-pushing material, not to mention brilliant whistling. Both artists also are touring behind 2016 albums — Bird with “Are You Serious” and Glaspy with “Emotions and Math.”
