That kind of circuitous musical journey could also describe the Oct. 20 edition of Local Spins on WYCE which traveled the gamut of styles: funk to folk to gypsy swing to prog-rock to neo-soul to electronic music to blues to bluegrass.

Episode No. 162 also boasted the premiere of new songs by Olivia Mainville & The Aquatic Troupe, Watching for Foxes, Blushing Monk, Cassidy Bisher and Wicker Basket, plus music from West Michigan artists Hannah Laine (this week’s musicians’ pick), Cosmic Knot, Jake Kershaw and Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys.
