As usual, Kid Rock’s return to Grand Rapids was a sold-out affair.

And as usual, the 12,000 or so fans in attendance at Van Andel Arena on Wednesday night got a high-energy dose of the Michigan rap-rocker’s biggest and rowdiest hits — from the new, like the title to track to his latest album, “Rebel Soul,” to the old, like 1999’s “Bawitdaba.”
Spins on Music captured the action from a lively Kid Rock, aka Bob Ritchie, and his band, courtesy of photographer Tony Norkus of Anthony Norkus Photography, who also snapped shots of opening acts Buckcherry and Hellbound Glory.
As Norkus put it, the “sellout crowd was definitely into it … lots of beer and dancing everywhere I looked.”
More of that is in store for Michigan fans: Kid Rock keeps his tour close to home this week, playing two concerts at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw on Friday and Saturday.
