Sunday’s return to Grand Rapids of the popular annual Christian music tour played to a near-capacity audience that lined up for hours before the show.

The best known artists on this full, mini-festival lineup, the rapper Lecrae and the eclectic Crowder provided the greatest share of the music among the ten featured acts.
Lecrae, aka Texas native Lecrae Moore, opened with “Walk.” but soon segued to “Spread the Opps,” backed by its concept video on the large screen at the rear of the stage.

Another nice turn of the video featured singer Tori Kelly, who teamed with a live Lecrae for their duet, “I’ll Find You.”
Fellow Texan and veteran contemporary Christian artist David Crowder featured his mandolin on “Milk and Honey,” but was at the keyboard for several other tunes.
The hard-hitting band’s combination of “Lift Your Head Weary Sinner” and “Crushing Snakes” adroitly set up the country-blues styled “All My Hope.”
The near-capacity, youthful crowd had its patience rewarded: the line outside the arena had stretched south along Ottawa Ave for more than a block waiting for doors to open for the general admission concert.
