Holiday music took all forms last week — from the upbeat, dance-fueled magic of northern Michigan’s May Erlewine & The Motivations (playing Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo) to the metalcore mayhem of Grand Rapids’ up-and-coming Hollow Front to the singer-songwriter charm of Kalamazoo’s Grace Theisen.

Oh, and then there was the incisive roots rock of Jakob Dylan and The Wallflowers, who made a tour stop at GLC Live at 20 Monroe with help from Michigan rock/Americana band Brother Elsey. Check out the concert review and photos from that show here.
