The week in live music wrapped up with a bang on Saturday in Grand Rapids, with Local Spins capturing the action in photos at a host of venues.

Crowd-Pleasing Shows: Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys and DJ Pauly D drew enthusiastic fans to The Intersection this week. (Photo/Eric Stoike)
The Magpie Salute, DJ Pauly D and SALES all have earned national acclaim for different reasons and in far different genres (Southern rock/blues, DJ/dance, guitar pop).

West Michigan's music scene
Each played different Grand Rapids venues (20 Monroe Live, The Intersection, The Pyramid Scheme) during an opening week of September that also boasted the return of Grand Rapids country faves Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys, La Famiglia’s hip hop reunion at Billy’s Lounge and scores of West Michigan bands playing the Eastown Streetfair. (And regional rock stalwarts Wayland opened for The Magpie Salute.)
