On Saturday, more than 1,700 people packed 20 Monroe Live in Grand Rapids for hair/glam metal’s over-the-top spoof-meisters, L.A.’s Steel Panther (touring behind its latest album, “Heavy Metal Rules”) with a boost from Stitched Up Heart and Imposters in Effect.
The next day, the ever-popular, symphonic-rock-and-lasers extravaganza that is Trans-Siberian Orchestra returned to Van Andel Arena for two hair-tossing, holiday shows — performing its classic “Christmas Eve and Other Stories” — for Sunday crowds dazzled by the always-lavish stage display.
