Rock the Rapids announced the last piece of its three-day lineup of headliners: Country duo Thompson Square will play Fifth Third Ballpark in Aug. 20, followed by Daughtry and ZZ Top. Tickets on sale Thursday.
Country’s Thompson Square will headline the first day of the Rock the Rapids music festival at Fifth Third Ballpark on Aug. 20, with two more country artists expected to be added to the bill, organizers announced today.

The husband-and-wife duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson — recently honored by the Academy of Country Awards as the vocal duo of the year — are touting their latest single, “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About.”
Tickets — $25, $30 and $49 — go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Fifth Third Ballpark box office, by calling 616-784-4131, online at fifththirdballpark.com or by visiting rocktherapids.org online.
Festival organizers previously had announced that alt-rock’s Daughtry and Lifehouse would play the festival on Aug. 21, followed by veteran rockers ZZ Top, along with blues-rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd, on the final day of the festival on Aug. 22.
Rock the Rapids is moving back to Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock Park after two years in downtown Grand Rapids.
