James R. Murphy Jr. – Sidebar: You mentioned “Black Dog” and I’ve always thought someone should do a mash-up of “Black Dog” and “Oh Well”. They’re both riff based/stop time songs, so you could interchange the vocal parts, eg “Hey mama, said the way you move, gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove” riff, stop time. “Can’t help it ’bout the shape I’m in, I can sing, I ain’t pretty and my legs are thin/Don’t ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to” that riff “oh well” riff continues to stop time. “Ah, child, when you shake that thing, gonna make you burn, gonna make you sting . . . ” You get the idea. They’re both great riffs, too. Sidebar to sidebar: Is Plant promising to deliver an STD in that latter couplet?
