That’s the quandary Local Spins faces every year in creating its annual calendar showcasing Michigan bands and solo artists in vibrant concert photos taken by our top-drawer crew of photographers.
So to make it a little easier on us this year, the Local Spins 2018 Calendars feature an extra page of photos so we can spotlight 24 acts — all new for this year — as well as provide a separate, robust list of Michigan music festivals to help you plan your year of musical fun.
And to make things even more fun, the first 25 calendar orders will receive a free CD: the popular “HopCat presents Local Spins Live at River City Studios” album boasting tracks by 12 West Michigan artists.
Of course, as we’ve done every year, a portion of sale proceeds will be donated to Access of West Michigan, which coordinates food pantries for needy families and operates anti-poverty programs in Kent County.
