Grand Rapids’ second-year edition of Breakaway Music Festival at Belknap Park proved to be a party in the park of epic proportions, with R&B, hip hop and DJ-driven electronic music of many stripes inspiring thousands of mostly young fans for two days.
And while Day 1 was highlighted by headliner Odesza’s night-ending electropop spectacle (after a slight drizzle), Day 2 wrapped up with a headlining set by up-and-coming R&B star Khalid.
