Consider the lineup for the Grand Haven Free Fridays summer concert series alone.
The roster includes world-class drummer Scott Pellegrom and his band, internationally acclaimed guitarist-singer Luke Winslow-King, the genre-melding Elijah Russ Collective, the much-in-demand Schrock Bros. band and more.
Oh yeah, and the concerts — which kick off June 27 — are free to the public.

That’s just one of more than two dozen free, outdoor community concert series added this week to Local Spins’ annual summer guide, which now lists more than 130 of these daily series in parks, beaches, bandshells and gazebos across the state — from Boyne City to Zeeland. Lansing to Ann Arbor, Bridgman to Ludington. Check out the full guide here.
New listings include Ada’s popular “Beers at the Bridge,” which features Kari Lynch on June 20 and The Soul Syndicate on Aug. 15, Baldwin’s “Sounds of the Forest” starting up with the Rodney Whitaker Ensemble on June 21, Cedar Springs’ “Music in the Heart” that gets rolling with Post Fontaine on June 11, Holland’s Kollen Park Friday shows with the ever-popular oldies band 6 Pak launching things on June 13, and Lansing’s “Concerts in the Park” with veteran blues band Root Doctor heating up the series on June 11.
