The creepy Halloween edition of the Weekend Photo Gallery is chock full of scary-good bands and just-plain-scary-looking fans who reveled in a holiday full of terror-ific, music-driven parties.

Q: Where do ghosts go on the weekend? A: Anywhere where they can Boo-gie.
Ghosts. ghouls, witches, warlocks, critters, cartoon characters and goofballs of all kinds were out in full force and boogying for the Halloween weekend in the Grand Rapids area, which responded to the fortune of the spooky holiday falling on a Friday by celebrating for two straight nights.
And some of the region’s most celebrated bands and DJs were out in full force, too, as captured in images in the Local Spins Weekend Photo Gallery:
• Despite wintery temperatures dipping into the low 30s, several thousand people turned out Saturday once again for Halloween’s biggest EDM street party: BarFly Ventures’ second annual Halloween on Ionia with Kalendr, Golf Clap, DJ Slim Tim, Zach Bletz and more spinning the tunes that kept the goblins — and a bevy of TV and movie characters — hopping deep into the evening.
“Totally packed. So many awesome costumes,” said Local Spins photographer Tony Norkus. “Saw like five Walter Whites. So many good ones: Colonel Sanders, ‘Adventure Time,’ ‘Game of Thrones,’ LEGO people.’ ”
• Awesome costumes were on display a couple of blocks away, too, with The B.O.B.’s annual indoor Halloween extravaganza — dubbed the Zombie Apocalypse — firing up masked revelers with the music of Brena, dueling pianos and a host of DJs. To up the costume creativity, both parties boasted thousands of dollars in prizes for the best get-ups.
• On Halloween itself, nightclubs on almost every corner hosted Friday night masquerades to die for, including Anoraak and Alexis playing Founders Brewing Co., with the evening serving as the official LP-release show for Alexis’ “Love or Temptation,” the latest electro-pop gem from Matt Forbush and Dan Hurst (who also made a visit earlier in the day to Local Spins on WYCE).
• Another West Michigan pop phenom, Stepdad, uncorked its dance-happy strains for a jam-packed costume party at The Pyramid Scheme, with a big boost from Sphynx and hi-ker.
• The Intersection doubled-down on Halloween with metal and stoner rock featuring Knives Are Quiet, Tru-Burn and Evergreen Shade in the Stache and the Monsters Ball with Chicago DJ Bad Boy Bill, Angels vs. Demons and Dank in the main showroom, which also was filled with colorful hoopsters and costumed characters.
• A boisterous, almost entirely female crowd went crazy on Saturday night at The Intersection for SoMo, aka Joseph Anthony Somers-Morales of Texas, who has become an R&B YouTube and Internet sensation. Check out the photos of fans taking photos. Priceless.
• Elsewhere, among the many wild celebrations, Murder Party! pounded it out at the Tip Top Deluxe Bar & Grill, The Legal Immigrants rocked Rockford Brewing Co.’s Halloween bash and Buddy Twist had folks twisting on the dance floor at the Vestal Inn.
