Besides free community concerts, the summer of 2021 will be buzzing with captivating concert series at outdoor venues across Michigan. Check out lineups for more than 20 of them in today’s listings.

Making plans for summer outings in Michigan’s great outdoors that include live music?
Support our coverage of
West Michigan's music scene
The options are almost endless, and the stars on stage range from international phenoms to local favorites.
With Memorial Day weekend serving as the unofficial kickoff to summer fun, organizations and private venues across the state are gearing up a hectic season of concerts — hoping to capitalize on pent-up demand for live music after a COVID pandemic that shuttered most shows for more than year.
Unlike the free community concerts that Local Spins compiles in its “Free Outdoor Community Concerts 2021” guide, most of these concert series come with a price tag or require reservations.
Check out the lineups below for more than two dozen outdoor concert series — from Fennville to Ann Arbor to Traverse City to Clarkston — with more schedules added to the “Outdoor Concerts at Venues 2021” listing in coming days and weeks.
For a full listing of free outdoor shows: Free Outdoor Community Concerts 2021.
For an updated roster of Michigan music festivals: Michigan Music Festivals 2021.
