7:00 PM-7:45 Kate Pillsbury (The Crane Wives) started writing songs in her home in northern Michigan as a teen, with help and encouragement from a songwriting father. In college in Grand Rapids, she and her friends formed the nationally touring indie rock band The Crane Wives, who have opened for artists like The Avett Brothers and Lake Street Dive. After almost ten years of performing with Crane Wives, the songstress has come full circle, returning to her roots to develop a solo musical project.

7:45-8:30 Chris Cranick (Overdrive Orchestra) is a singer-songwriter hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He fronts the psych rock outfit, Overdrive Orchestra and is involved in numerous collaborative efforts including the midwest-based Bluewater Kings Band. Throughout the past decade, Cranick has developed a unique style all his own.

Cranick celebrated the release of his debut solo record, ‘Nostalgia Is Killing Us’ in July 2018 after signing to White Elephant Records. The record was nominated for two Jammie awards. Overdrive Orchestra released their newest studio record, ‘Electric Mind’ in February 2020. Currently, Chris is hard at work on a follow up solo album.
