Organizers call it “the quintessential Michigan summer experience.”
Indeed, Blissfest has been enchanting music lovers and festivalgoers since 1981, with thousands flocking to the picturesque, 200-acre site near Cross Village for a smorgasbord of roots, folk, rock and world music unfurled on several stages by international as well as regional stars.
The 2026 festival taking place Friday through Sunday (July 10-12) will boast headlining sets by the likes of New Orleans’ Galactic (with singer Jelly Joseph), Nashville’s Infamous Stringdusters, Jamaica’s Original Wailers (featuring Al Anderson) and Michigan/California’s Theo Katzman, along with performances by Michigan favorites Larry McCray, May Erlewine, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers, The Rebel Eves, Djangophonique, Jordan Hamilton Trio, Seth Bernard, Charlie Millard Band, Sean Miller, Josh Rose and many more.
Tickets and camping passes are nearly sold out, according to organizers, so the festival that attracts about 5,000 people each year continues to be an annual destination for many and an intoxicating draw for newer attendees.
“I think it’s because we’re almost like two festivals in one. You have one roster of national and international touring acts, full of surprising acts across the spectrum of genres and some well-known names headlining Main Stage,” said Caroline Barlow, the festival’s artist director and co-director.
“We also have a whole other roster of beloved Michigan acts. Michigan music lovers can get their cup filled with that, with a cool touring band as the cherry on top. Blissfest music lovers seem to love being surprised as much as they love seeing their favorite Michigan band.”
There’s also more than music on tap with workshops, wide-ranging children’s activities, crafting, healing arts, forest walks and more.
The festival runs Friday through Sunday (July 10-12) at 3695 Division Rd. near Cross Village. View the essentials, ticket prices and more below. Get more information and ticket links online here.
