Adrian Younge’s “Jazz is Dead” with a 10-piece orchestra – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (March 11) at The Pyramid Scheme in Grand Rapids – The renowned producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Los Angeles makes his only Michigan tour stop in GR. 5. Willy Tea Taylor and Rowdy Fingers = March 20 at Tip Top Deluxe Bar & Grill – Highly regarded California folk singer-songwriter Willy Tea Taylor returns to Michigan on his current tour. Tip Top follows this on March 21 with Surfer Joe and on March 22 with Duke Tumatoe & The Power Trio, making this a weekend romp to remember. 6. Kalamazoo Fretboard Festival – All day – March 22 at Kalamazoo Valley Museum in downtown Kalamazoo: 10 different bands performing on three stages, music workshops and guitar/music vendors. 7. Michigan Rattlers – March 28 at The Pyramid Scheme in GR (with Max Lockwood & Morgan Haner) – The award-winning northern Michigan band is on a national tour.
