Little Big Town brought its national tour with Kacey Musgraves and Midland to Van Andel Arena, but there was way more on the docket for West Michigan music fans.
From national stars such as country music’s Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves and Midland to local faves Organissimo, The Smokin’ Dobroleles, Lushh, Quantum Fleek and more, it was a week of true musical diversity across West Michigan.

The weekend saw the next two rounds of Cowpie Music Festival’s Pathway to the Pasture contest (which will eventually pick the final regional act to play the August festival), as The Smokin’ Dobroleles outpolled AS AM I and Mark Harrell at Holland’s Park Theatre, and Quantum Fleek bested Lushh and Trifocal at Kalamazoo’s Old Dog Tavern.
And Fiona Dickinson, LVRS, Tom Hymn and Little Windows fired up the 22nd “Local Showcase” at The Pyramid Scheme in Grand Rapids on Friday, two days after Organissimo fired up a full house at SpeakEZ Lounge with its organ-driven jazz prowess.
Local Spins captured that action in photos and videos.
