This is a FREE mandolin workshop although tips are accepted at (PayPal – brian@mandoberlin.com) or at (VENMO – @fullcordbluegrass) We will learn the songs AVALON in G and TOPSY in D minor. The melody, the swinging chord shapes, and the rhythm will be covered. By the end, you will know these tunes inside and out and be able to apply all of it to all your mandolin playing, regardless of folk music genre. It will be taught by EAR, but slowly and thoughtfully with many repetitions so note and tab readers will get along swimmingly. Call it a mandolin workout if you will. Designed for eager beginner and intermediate mandoliners, although advanced players will gain tips on tone and placement.
