Indeed, Cage the Elephant’s set ignited mad crowd-surfing and audience exuberance as effervescent lead singer Matthew Shultz led the alt-rock/pop band through a set that featured tunes from the Kentucky-bred group’s latest album, “Tell Me I’m Pretty,” as well as older material.
From “Cry Baby” that opened the show to “Teeth,” which closed out the encore, a few thousand West Michigan fans matched Cage the Elephant’s enthusiasm, as evidenced by photos from Local Spins photographer Anna Sink and guest photographer Nick Hosford (of Grand Rapids’ The Outer Vibe).
