Photographer Katy Batdorff called the evening “magical. You can see the happiness in everyone’s faces.” Nicole LaRae of The Pyramid Scheme put it this way on Facebook: “Feeling warm fuzzies about the sold-out event for Planned Parenthood” which raised more than $3,100.

Local Spins photographer Derek Ketchum noted that Kalamazoo’s Saturday boasted
Sam Melchi Generations band in its debut on the new indoor stage at Arcadia Ales with vocalist
Nathan Moore. At Bell’s Brewery, meanwhile,
Graham Parsons and Mike Savina of The Go Rounds kicked the night off as a duo (“a very interesting set that had everyone in Bell’s intrigued”), followed by singer-songwriter
Fiona Dickinson with an impressive backing band and finally, Grand Rapids’
Big Dudee Roo, uncorking “a fantastic set treating everyone to songs off ‘Dudee Free’ as well as a couple of brand new songs” set to be recorded soon.”
