Time to think summer and outdoor concerts: Joe Hertler, The Accidentals, Hannah Rose, Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys, The Outer Vibe, Kari Lynch and more grace four free concert series.
Beyond the usual sounds of summer – cheerful birds, roaring lawnmowers, laughing kids, crashing waves – West Michigan boasts a bounty of tantalizing live music courtesy of free community concert series extending from Lowell to the lakeshore.

The summer of 2016 ups the ante for these early evening, weeknight affairs, with several cities boasting appearances by some of the region’s most popular bands, including The Accidentals, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers, Hannah Rose & The GravesTones, The Verve Pipe, Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys, The Outer Vibe, Kari Lynch and plenty of others.
“I’m stoked to play these events this summer,” said country singer Kari Lynch, who plays several of these community series every year. “I love that these shows are almost always all ages and bring entire communities out to enjoy music together. There is something so special about playing these concert series where people come, set up their own chairs or blankets, bring their families and choose to spend their evening with you when they could be doing anything else.”
