Three Grand Rapids-area events dominated the landscape musically, but there was more across West Michigan: Taking Back Sunday, Mustard Plug, Megan Dooley, Delilah DeWylde, Blake Elliott, Full Cord.

West Michigan's music scene
Any week that ends with a beer festival, a chili cook-off and a late-summer arts and music celebration has an awful lot going for it.
Such was the case with the third annual Perrin Backyard Beer Bash, the 34th annual Cottage Bar Chili Cook-Off and the Fallasburg Fall Festival.
But there were other highlights, too, with Taking Back Sunday kicking off the week, Lord Huron and Wilco making mid-week West Michigan tour stops, Horse Feathers playing Founders Brewing, Mustard Plug and Grand Rapids Soul Club (with Will Sessions) firing up The Pyramid Scheme, and Megan Dooley, Delilah Dewylde & The Lost Boys, Blake Elliott and Full Cord lighting up Bell’s Brewery in Kalamazoo (with Nashville’s The Punknecks at Louie’s Back Room).
It’s all part of the Weekend Photo Gallery at Local Spins. And find Local Spins photos/reviews of the Lord Huron and Wilco online here.
