It’s easy to see why.
The usual suspects – aka, progressive bluegrass kings Greensky Bluegrass, who perform headlining sets at Hoxeyville every summer – are joined in 2017 by vintage soul singer Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, Kentucky bluegrass mandolinist Sam Bush and his band, and Michigan favorites The Accidentals, Joshua Davis, Billy Strings, The Crane Wives, The Go Rounds, Luke Winslow King and many more.
Announced today, the Wellston festival claims to assemble “some of the most talented artists in Michigan and beyond” in an intimate, forested setting for 3,500 concertgoers who can camp on the 85-acre site.
