Summer is fast approaching, which means outdoor festivals and concerts continue to roll out their lineups aimed at rocking the season. Check out details online here.
With headliners Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, A$AP Rocky, Jason Derulo and AWOLNATION, this year’s Common Ground Music Festival aims to light up Lansing with a diverse blend of superstars.
The 17th annual festival — which takes place July 5-10 in Lansing’s Adado Riverfront Park — today announced the addition of McGraw as the July 7 headliner, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

Tickets for other shows are on sale now, available online here. A general admission pass for the entire festival is $112 for adults.
Plenty of local and regional acts help fill out the bills for the six-day festival, including artists such as Grand Rapids’ Lady Ace Boogie and The SEVENth, along with Lansing’s Rosco P (opening for A$AP Rocky), Kalamazoo’s Michigander and East Lansing’s Kim VI and The Siblings (opening for AWOLNATION) and Grand Rapids’ Joey Hyde (opening for Bentley).
RELAX AT ROSA ANNOUNCES WEEKLY LUNCHTIME MUSIC LINEUP FOR SUMMER
Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. is bringing back its Thursday noon-hour music series, with Latin-infused Grand Rapids band Cabildo launching it all on May 5 at Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids.
The free weekly lunchtime concerts, running from noon until 1:30 p.m. on Thursdays, will continue through Sept. 15 and feature a diverse set of regional acts.
Artists scheduled thus far include Boy from School on May 12, ESME on May 19, Ars Nova on May 26, Kari Lynch on June 2, Megan Dooley Band on June 9, Mystic Dub on June 16, BoogieWoogieKid on June 23, Alex Mendenall on June 30, Serita’s Black Rose on July 7, An Dro on July 14, Complicated Animals on July 21, Asamu Johnson & The Associates of the Blues on July 28, Kathy Lamar on Aug. 11, The Bootstrap Boys on Aug. 18, Kent County String Band on Aug. 25 and La Furia Del Ritmo on Sept. 15.

CELADON 2016 CONCERT SERIES RANGES FROM BLUES AND JAZZ TO INDIE-FOLK
Steve Hilger’s progressive blues and jazz outfits will kick off this year’s Celadon Summer Concert Series.
The Grand Rapids guitarist will front both his blues and jazz bands to open up the intimate, picnic-styled summer concert series at Grand Rapids’ Celadon New Town amphitheater off Knapp Street NE on June 23.
The free monthly Celadon Summer Concert Series continues on July 21 with psychedelic folk-rock band Big Dudee Roo with opener Deerfield Run, and close things out on Aug. 18 with Holland indie-folk singer-songwriter Olivia Mainville & The Aquatic Troupe, with well-known Grand Rapids Americana artist Ralston Bowles also on the bill.
The concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. with food vendor sales beginning at 6 p.m.
