Classic Rock Corner
Welcome to Spins on Music’s Classic Rock Corner — a unique peek into the world of artists who literally changed the direction and sound of rock ‘n’ roll.
Below, you’ll find exclusive interviews with legendary, award-winning musicians — many of whom are still out there playing, touring and recording … and reminiscing about events that shaped their careers and those of the bands they’ve helped commandeer (from The Rolling Stones to The Animals to Foghat and beyond).
On occasion, I also extract key portions of interviews I’ve conducted with some compelling, influential stars over the past 16 years (Robert Plant, Carlos Santana, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Jeff Beck and others). They may be aging, but a lot of these artists simply aren’t getting old. As Santana once told me, “If you’re bored, you’re old. I don’t allow myself to get bored.”
