Episode No. 43 of the weekly hour-long show on 88.1 FM proved that definitively, with old-time folk group Hawks & Owls starting things off in Studio X, performing a couple of charming acoustic numbers and talking about the June 28 Grand River Water Festival at Grand Rapids’ Riverside Park, which will feature 11 musical performances by stellar Michigan acts as well as art, food, kids’ tent and environmental speakers. Electronic rock duo AOK followed by playing a couple of tracks from their EP and chatting about their upcoming video release show for the song, “The Life,” at Mexicains Sans Frontieres, 120 S. Division Ave. at 7 p.m. June 26, as well as a new album they’ll be recording for release on Hot Capicola Records.
